HFC initially refused to uphold the customers claim
The claim was for a mis-sold solar system. Consumer Reclaim referred the claim to the Financial Ombudsman Service HFC refunded the Solar Direct UK customer £4,800.
Solar Direct UK promoted the solar system as being able to pay for itself within 8-12 years. Consumer Reclaim supplied expert evidence clearly demonstrating that a realistic payback would be in excess of 50 years.
