Customer claims against Solar Direct
After M&S Bank reject customer’s claim for refund Consumer Reclaim refer the claim to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Customer purchased a solar system from solar direct who promised totally unachievable energy savings from its solar system. As the company had ceased trading Consumer Reclaim put the claim to the customer’s credit card provider. This was because the customer had paid the deposit for the solar system on his credit card. M&S money referred the claim to legal counsel informing consumer reclaim that upon counsel’s advice they would be in touch. Ten months later, and after hearing nothing further from M&S money, Consumer Reclaim referred the matter to the Financial Ombudsman service resulting in M&S money offering the customer a £5,480 refund.
