GE Money home lending used to finance customer’s Solar Home Energy System
The customer purchased a Solar Home Energy thermal hot water heating system financing the purchase through GE Money home lending. The customer received a letter from GE Money home lending saying “congratulations on choosing Solar Home Energy ltd to install your home improvement product – rest assured you have made a good choice.”
Solar Home Energy advertised the solar hot water heating system with suggested savings of £7,783 over a 10 year period. In addition to £45,865 over a 25 year period. Expert evidence by consumer reclaim confirmed that actual savings from the solar system was £100 – £120 per year.
GE Money home lending rejected the claim. Without providing any evidence to demonstrate that solar home energy’s suggested savings were possible best team collaboration software. Consumer Reclaim panel lawyers issued proceedings in the county court. This resulted in the customer receiving £5,164,28 from GE Money home lending.
